The UK’s Ambassador for creative small businesses, Holly Tucker has dedicated her life’s work to championing the little guy. As the founder of Holly & Co and notonthehighstreet.com, she’s continuing her life’s quest of helping others realise their micro-entrepreneurial dreams. Starting out as a dyslexic 16-year-old, Jo Malone left school with no qualifications, but this didn’t dampen her entrepreneurial spirit. Beginning her journey, making scented products by hand in her kitchen, Jo went on to enjoy global success with the brand eponymous with her name. Following her fight with breast cancer at the age of 37, she took the decision to step away from her business and after five years away went back into the industry with the launch of Jo Loves and the desire to change the way the world wears fragrance - for a second time.
Bottling the secret to a success with both Jo Malone London and Jo Loves, Jo’s work in the beauty industry has seen her earn an MBE and tell her inspirational tale of passion, resilience and creativity across the globe.
Working at innocent since it started in 1999, Dan Germain is responsible for the irreverent bottle packaging that never fails to make you snicker. Overseeing all things creative from design to digital, he maintains the innocent values, keeping them sustainable, innovative and a market leader of Dad jokes.
Dan shares the innocent story, how to ‘do’ marketing, and some of his proudest achievements such as being named 2014’s ‘Designer of the Year in the UK’ and once growing a charming beard.
